Mosquitoes are a common issue in Kuwait, including the area surrounding Al Tijaria Tower. The warm climate and presence of standing water provide ideal breeding grounds for these pesky insects. Mosquitoes are not only a nuisance but also pose a risk of transmitting various diseases to humans.
One of the most concerning mosquito-borne diseases in Kuwait is Dengue fever. This viral infection is spread through the bites of infected Aedes mosquitoes. Symptoms of Dengue fever include high fever, severe headache, joint and muscle pain, and in severe cases, can lead to life-threatening complications such as Dengue hemorrhagic fever.
In addition to Dengue fever, another mosquito-borne disease that poses a threat in Kuwait is Malaria. Although cases of Malaria are less common in the country, it is still important to take precautions to prevent mosquito bites, especially during the peak transmission season.
